i just read a great article by one of the new members of the quorum of the twelve apostles elder ronald a rasband while he was a member of the seventy. he talks about how missionaries are called of god through his apostles and how he had the chance to call a missionary to his mission himself.
definitely encourage any missionary planning on going on a mission or one who has already received their call to read this
