this week i learned a lot about charity! im learning to love the people i teach. we are teaching a guy named alan who has been diligently investigating the church for 2 years awaiting his 18th birthday. he will be baptized on his birthday, sept 24! he, as well as most of the stake here, are very exciting and looking forward to this special day. we have been working on making shre he has been taught all the lessons and we are going to take him to the temple this weekend!
we had zone conference this week where we learned about working with the ward members! we also learned about chiasmus in the book of mormon. then they brought in a crew to give missionaries free flu shots if they wanted one. mom, i got one.
last night we were having dinner with a family in the ward. one of the sons brought his girlfriend over to eat. when we were finished with the lesson, me and sister wayman were discussing a plan to find a new investigator that night and i realized we cpuld easily try to teach the girlfriend again! lol how silly of us to forget about her. she was interested in learning more so we are going to fhe with the family and elyse tonight! we are excited, the boyfriend however was a little less than thrilled lol. member missionary work is so important and truly how the lord has planned to gather his sheep.
